"Swing Street" refers to a specific section of West 52nd Street in Manhattan, NYC, between Fifth and Seventh Avenues that was the centre of the jazz world through the 1930s to the 1950s.

BRIAN SUMMERS
Brian grew up listening to the beginnings of Rock n Roll. Joining pop groups in the 60's, he soon developed an appreciation for many genres of music and at 21 years of age was a vocalist with the resident house bands at Top Rank and Mecca Ballrooms. After progressing through various pop, blues and soul groups, He later went solo becoming a cabaret entertainer on the UK club circuits. His big claim to fame is appearing at Liverpool's famous Cavern Club on many occasions with his 7 piece soul band "The Sound Package" in the late 60's. 

TONI ROSE
Toni can't remember a time when she didn't sing.  Both her Grandfather and Father were singers, and her Father (who was in the Big Bands in the 30's in the London area) encouraged her love for music. She attended the Guildhall School of Music for voice training and music theory, sang with pop groups from the age of 13 and at 17 joined a function band singing at many prestigious venues in and around London, working with many top musicians, which is when she was first introduced to jazz. She also cruised with P&O.
At 21 she went to work in cabaret clubs and hotels in the Canaries for 3 years and after returning to the UK she continued to work in top night clubs and hotels, settling in Manchester before eventually moving to Blackpool with equally great success.

After meeting in the North East of England Toni & Brian didn't take too long to discover that they worked well together musically and a double act was formed. 

They have since travelled the UK and Europe and are delighted to bring back the music of a bygone era.
